Judith Irene (Lowry) Brandt, 69, of Dixon, died Monday, January 14, 2013, at her home. She was a devoted beautician and hair-stylist for more than forty years in the Dixon area and loved and enjoyed all her clients throughout the years.

Judy was born September 12, 1943, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of Scott DeForest and Rose I. (Green) Lowry. She came from a large farm family and was the ninth of thirteen children.

Survivors include one son, Todd (Tammy) Bishop; one daughter, Tiffany Brandt, both of Dixon; four sisters, Vivian Shinn of Florida, Betty Stone of Daysville, Norma (Neil) Petersen of Dixon, Pauline (Orlie) Harrington of Dolph, AR; three brothers, Donald (Nancy) Lowry of Cherry, Robert (Patricia) Lowry, Kenneth (Debbie) Lowry, both of Dixon; three grandchildren, Trevor Bishop, Faith Bishop, Luke Sledge; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and life-long friends, Sharon Underhile and Teresa Long.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Alice Rottke, Marjorie Blaga, Marian Pekel, Shirley Haas; and one brother, Gary Lowry.

Per the family’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2013, at Grand Detour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
