Brandy Kay Pegues, 31, of Dixon, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at her home. She was an administrator for Camp Reynoldswood in Dixon for 6 years, bartender at First Street Pub in Dixon, and tended bar and cooked at the Shamrock Pub in Dixon.
Brandy was born May 3, 1981, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of Susan Mabrey. The most important thing in life to Brandy was her daughter Ariana.
Survivors include her daughter, Ariana Pegues; her mother and step-father, Sue and Jeff Meusel; her father and step-mother, Randy and Carolyn Pursell; one brother, Jason (Carrie) Gibbons; half-sister, Amanda Pursell; maternal grandmother, Lois Mabrey; step-grandparents, Nancy and Richard Fotzler; cousins, Melissa (Jason Carroll) Meusel, Jessica Love, Jessica’s daughter, Ashyia; and special friends, Pat and Bob Lee, Danielle O’Neal, and Sandy Deter.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donald Mabrey.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, with family present from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Frank Langholf, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon.
A memorial has been established.
