Lee V. Murray, 94, of Dixon, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. He worked in the maintenance department at Sauk Valley Community College, Dixon, prior to his retirement.

Lee was born July 30, 1918, in Clinton, IA, the son of Edmond and Eva (Lee) Murray. He married Genevieve Riley on July 30, 1945, in Rockford. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2010.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Joseph) Rogers, Karen (John) Hess, both of Sterling; 2 sisters, Loretta Bennett, Gladys Moore; 2 brothers, Virgil (Audrey) Murray, Roland (Betty) Murray; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, John Murray; 2 sisters, Beulah Johnson and Karma Weidman.

Visitation will be from 2 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, followed by a 3:00 p.m., funeral service, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Vincent O. Marrandino, Director of Pastoral Care at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital, Dixon, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, at a later date.
