Anne Elizabeth (Ackert) Hannan, 91, of Dixon, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Heritage Square, Dixon. She worked 25 years as a secretary for Henry Pratt, prior to her retirement in 1987.

Anne was born November 27, 1920, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of Frank and Bess (Keyes) Ackert. She married Everett Hannan on August 12, 1945, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1994. Anne was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dixon, and the D.A.R., Dixon.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harris and Gail Ackert; and two sisters, Amy Wadsworth and Frances Ives.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012, at Heritage Square, Dixon, with the Rev. Frank Berman, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established to Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
